Twenty-five children will be able to benefit from a free pediatric ultrasound this Sunday, August 30. The initiative is organized by the Medical Institute of Madagascar (Institut Médical de Madagascar) as part of its new community health action.
Targeting children aged 0 to 12, this first edition of “A Sunday for Life” (Un Dimanche pour la Vie) will begin at 8:00 AM. It is specifically aimed at families who sometimes forgo certain medical examinations due to financial difficulties.
Parents wishing to register their child can call the toll-free number 617 or go directly to the facility’s reception desk. A medical prescription is required to receive the examination. For this day, a specific circuit will be set up to separate beneficiaries from the emergency department and facilitate their care. A medical team will also provide support to families throughout the process.
This action is expected to be repeated every month. Through this initiative, the facility aims to help reduce financial barriers that may delay children’s access to specialized examinations. For this first operation, only twenty-five spots are available. Interested families are therefore invited to register in advance.
