OFFICIAL EXAMS – Authorities target authors of fake exam subject leaks

The individuals behind social media posts offering alleged 2026 Baccalaureate exam subjects have been identified by authorities. The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research (Mesupres) stated that the case has been referred to the cybercrime unit and urges parents and candidates not to fall for these scam attempts.

On the eve of the exams, Minister Prof. Manda-Vy Ravonimanantsoa assured that all alleged exam subjects circulating on Facebook are fake. According to the Minister, state agents posed as buyers to contact those offering the documents, which allowed them to identify the locations and suspected authors through private messages and phone numbers.

The Ministry confirmed that the case is now in the hands of the cybercrime unit, and authorities announced that legal action will be taken against those involved in collaboration with law enforcement.

In response to the rise in posts claiming exam leaks or offering them for sale, Mesupres reaffirmed that no leaks have occurred and advised families to remain vigilant against scams.

The Ministry also reminded the public that the intentional spread of false information regarding official exams is a punishable offense. Citizens are encouraged to report suspicious posts on Facebook, WhatsApp, or other platforms to the Ministry or law enforcement.

Finally, authorities stated that a zero-tolerance policy will be applied to any fraud or destabilization attempts during the Baccalaureate exams, which are scheduled from July 20 to 23 for general education and until July 30 for technical education.
