MAKUA FESTIVAL – Rossy triumphs in the rain

Despite the bad weather, Rossy turned the second night of the Makua Festival Music 2026 into a major musical event on Friday at the Toamasina waterfront.

Rain and wind could not dampen the enthusiasm of the festival-goers. Accompanied by the Bapampabe Band, Rossy took the stage until midnight in a particularly lively atmosphere. With his accordion in hand, the icon of Malagasy music performed his iconic tracks, including the essential “Lambahoany,” which was sung in chorus by a crowd that remained mobilized despite the weather conditions.

Set up at the former Miami site by the sea, the stage featured significant technical and visual resources. Giant LED screens, light shows, light beams, and pyrotechnic effects accompanied the performance of the singer and his musicians, backing vocalists, and dancers. This infrastructure contributed to the scale of the show.

The day after his performance, Rossy praised the professionalism of the organization. “I have participated in several festivals, but the Makua Festival Music is professional, whether in terms of organization or logistical and technical aspects,” he emphasized, going so far as to consider it one of the best festivals he has participated in in Madagascar.
