Confirmation. The final of the Madagascar individual pétanque championship in the youth category was a showdown between the two players selected for the upcoming Junior World Championship. Avotiana Eliot Raberanto (PAC), ranked number 2 following the training camp and evaluation tests held in Antsirabe from June 10 to 12, secured a 13-10 victory over the national number 1, Harison Clarito Andriambelonony (C2BA).
Two other players, twins Nameno and Nomena Ramamonjisoa from MKT Vakinankaratra, will complete the Malagasy national team for the U18 mixed world summit, which is scheduled to take place from July 30 to August 2 in Santa Susanna, Spain.
In the men’s senior category, Haja Rafanomezantsoa (PAC) defeated Masy Andrianantenaina (Akama) 13-11 in the final. In the women’s senior category, Mirana Razafinakanga (C2BA) dominated Muriel Raharison (CBA) 13-10. Among the veterans, Marcelin Rajaonarivelo (CBM) beat Solonaina Andriantsalama (ABC) 13-10.
