One of the rare Malagasy talents playing in the United States to watch closely. The 20-year-old Malagasy full-back and left midfielder, Mark Herinirainy Ramarolahy, who stands 1.73m tall, plays for the Kansas City Roos. He was named the Summit League’s Player of the Month for September in the United States’ Division 1.
Mark delivered a remarkable performance on September 26. He scored a brace, contributing to his team’s 3-1 victory against Oral Roberts. His team, representing the University of Missouri-Kansas City, competes in the Summit League, part of the American collegiate championship (NCAA) Division 1. The Kansas City Roos boast five regular-season Summit League titles (1996, 1999, 2001, 2003, and 2010) and four conference tournament titles (2001, 2003, 2008, and 2024).
The left-back was trained at the Olympique Lyonnais academy from 2019 to 2023, playing in the U15 and U17 categories. He joined the B team in 2024-2025, then moved to Bourgoin-Jallieu in 2025-2026, before continuing his career and making a name for himself in American collegiate football.
