As is the case every year, the celebration of World Teachers’ Day serves as an opportunity for the teaching staff to call upon policymakers to address the challenges inherent to their profession and, more broadly, to the country’s education sector. These challenges span budgetary, technical, organizational, and human resource dimensions. It is within this context that a segment of the teaching body has raised concerns.
