However, baccalaureate candidates who still have exams to take must continue their testing. “The baccalaureate exam will continue in accordance with the previously set schedule, and all organizers and relevant stakeholders will work as normal,” stated a press release published Wednesday evening by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
While most candidates in the traditional A, C, and D streams finish their exams this Thursday, those in the new L, S, and OSE streams must still take their Economic and Social Sciences (SES) exam. Candidates who have not yet completed their physical education and sports tests must also return on Friday for the theoretical components. Meanwhile, candidates for the technical and technological baccalaureate still have their second-round exams scheduled for next week.
Although the exams will proceed, the supervising ministry reminds that flags must be flown at half-mast at examination centers as a sign of respect for the national day of mourning. It calls for the widespread dissemination of this ministerial decision to avoid any confusion and urges various officials to ensure that all measures related to the day of remembrance are respected.
