PARTY LIFE – The TIM launches its Silver Jubilee

The Tiako I Madagasikara (TIM) party celebrated its 24th anniversary on Saturday, July 4, 2026, marking the official launch of its Silver Jubilee celebrations. The ceremony began with a religious service held at the residence of former President Marc Ravalomanana, the founder of the party established on July 3, 2002.

In his speech, Marc Ravalomanana recalled that despite the simplicity of the event, it symbolizes “the perseverance of our faith, our unity, and our love for Madagascar.” He emphasized that for 24 years, the TIM has remained faithful to its founding values: Faith, Truth, and Sacredness.

The party founder reflected on the journey of the TIM, mentioning the seven years spent leading the country as well as the numerous trials faced thereafter. According to him, the party remains solid because it is built primarily on principles, organization, and the trust of the population, rather than on a single individual.

Vision

On this occasion, Marc Ravalomanana presented his vision for the future of Madagascar. He advocated for greater openness toward Southern African countries, believing that the country’s development depends on regional cooperation. “Mutual trust is the foundation of development,” he stated, while emphasizing that the goal is not to share poverty, but to create wealth through work, production, and innovation.

When questioned about a possible candidacy in the next election, the former head of state did not confirm his intentions. However, he insisted on the importance of transmitting a development vision focused on regional integration and preparing a youth capable of dreaming, innovating, and building the future.

The celebrations of the 24th anniversary of the TIM will continue in several districts and regions of the country, where Marc Ravalomanana will meet with militants as part of the activities marking the opening of the party’s Silver Jubilee.
