Circumcision, or ‘forazaza’, is a highly significant tradition for the Malagasy people, varying according to regional customs. This cultural importance prompted the ‘Hanjary Raha Ty’ association in the Betsiboka region to organize social welfare initiatives for the local population. Among these was a free mass circumcision event conducted in collaboration with selected medical professionals.
A total of 170 individuals benefited from this free mass circumcision campaign, which took place in the capital of the rural commune of Mangabe.
