Madagascar is set to host the Youth Leader Summit in early October, with the goal of encouraging young people to take initiative.
Believing in one’s own capabilities and fostering youth initiative and project development is the core ambition of the first edition of the Youth Leader Summit, organized by Junior Chamber International (JCI) Madagascar and JCI Iarivo, held on October 1st and 2nd, 2026, at the Cité des Cultures in Antaninarenina.
Spearheaded by JCI Iarivo, which celebrates its 15th anniversary in 2026, this inaugural edition will also serve as a highlight of the JCI Madagascar National Convention.
According to Antsa Andrianarivelo, local president of JCI Iarivo, the event aims to create spaces for dialogue surrounding youth, leadership, and entrepreneurship.
More than 600 young leaders, entrepreneurs, and visitors are expected, along with over 100 JCI delegates from various regions of the island. The two-day event will feature practical workshops, training sessions, conferences, an exhibition area, and networking opportunities with professionals.
“The Youth Leader Summit is organized by JCI Madagascar and JCI Iarivo to enable young people to promote their projects, become more daring, and find guidance for their ventures,” explains Raharisoa Maeva Agnes, president and leader of the Youth Leader Summit.
For the organizers, youth engagement also involves connecting with individuals and organizations capable of supporting their initiatives. Partners and exhibitors will present their offers, capacity-building projects, and commitments to youth empowerment. These interactions are intended to help participants better understand the opportunities available to them.
The meeting aims to bridge the gap between youth and the professional world. By presenting their ideas and engaging directly with various stakeholders, young people can better showcase their initiatives and benefit from feedback to assist in their professional journeys.
