According to the latest statistics released by the Mauritian Ministry of Labour and Industrial Relations, there are now 9,995 Malagasy workers in Mauritius. They constitute the third-largest community of foreign workers in the country, following Indians and Nepalese, but ahead of Bangladeshis.
