Fostering the emergence of a new generation of entrepreneurs, the national program “Fandroso” aims to provide technical and financial support to project leaders, young entrepreneurs, startups, as well as micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises. To achieve this, the program has an initial budget of over 200 billion ariary. Beneficiaries will be selected with full transparency based on various criteria, including project viability and the capacity to repay the loan.
According to Andry Raobelina, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the program, “Fandroso” consists of two components. The first, called “Tsiry,” is intended for young people wishing to start their own business. It provides training, support, and funding of up to 60 million ariary at a very low interest rate, repayable over two years. The “Tafita” component is aimed at existing entrepreneurs who wish to expand their business, offering funding exceeding 60 million ariary, repayable over three years.
Access to funding will be based on various criteria, according to the program’s executive secretary, Adoré Ramamonjisoa. Funding will be granted to well-structured and viable projects, and the applicant’s ability to repay the loan will be evaluated. Applications can be submitted at the Fandroso headquarters in Soanierana, sent by mail, or submitted online via the program’s website. Following document verification, a selection will be made by the administrative committee to ensure transparency. Partner banks will also participate in the review and validation of applications.
During the launch ceremony of “Fandroso” on July 22 at Ambohitsorohitra, Colonel Michaël Randrianirina, President of the Refoundation of the Republic, emphasized that this funding is repayable to ensure the program’s sustainability. “The success of Fandroso will be measured by the number of new businesses created, new jobs generated, the success of young entrepreneurs, and the improvement of families’ living conditions,” he stated. The program supports beneficiaries in several sectors, including agriculture, livestock, fishing, trade, crafts, tourism, industry, services, digital, technology, and innovation.
