MUNICIPAL HYGIENE CODE – A 50,000 Ariary fine and site restoration for inappropriate waste disposal in public bins, according to the Antananarivo City Hall

There will be no physical altercations or insults, but the Urban Commune of Antananarivo intends to take strict action against anyone who deposits inappropriate waste in the capital’s public trash cans or pollutes public roads and drainage systems.

Reiterating the Municipal Hygiene Code, the city hall emphasizes that such offenses will expose the perpetrator to a fine of 50,000 Ariary and the obligation to restore the site to its original condition.
