The eighth Jovena Rally, serving as the second round of the Madagascar Rally Championship, concluded yesterday with the Mathieu-Nath duo claiming their second victory behind the wheel of their Subaru.
A second consecutive victory. A trio from the ASACM completed the podium. The crew of Mathieu Andrianjafy and Nathanaël Young, driving a Subaru Impreza, secured the overall win and the M12 group title during the 8th Jovena Rally. This three-day race, organized by the ASACM club, represented the second round of the Madagascar Rally Championship. The duo, already winners of the opening round organized by the FMMSAM, completed the fourteen special stages totaling 103 km in 01:22:47.7.
“I am always happy to have won. We attacked early on Saturday and managed our pace on the final day. We didn’t encounter any serious mechanical issues,” said Matts.
Placing fourth in the first round, the crew of Frédéric Rabekoto and Andry Tahina Rakotomalala Andrianjafy, competing in their second rally with a Mitsubishi Evo X Yas, climbed two spots to take the second step on the podium and win the N4 group, finishing 43.9 seconds behind the leader.
“We were able to avoid mechanical problems. We are still familiarizing ourselves with the car. We are attacking while managing the mechanical side simultaneously. The level of competition was very high,” commented Fred.
Key Details
