HIGHER EDUCATION – Graduation ceremony for over 100 new graduates from the Higher School of Agronomic Sciences

96 new agricultural engineers and 38 master’s degree holders in agronomic and environmental sciences from the Higher School of Agronomic Sciences (ESSA) of the University of Antananarivo are now called upon to put their skills to work for the agricultural sector and rural development. The graduation and diploma awarding ceremony was held on Friday, September 18, at Ankatso, as part of the 2026 Agronomy Fair.

The ceremony served as an opportunity to reiterate the expectations placed on these new graduates, particularly in supporting the development of the rural world. The Ministry of Agriculture and Food Sovereignty encourages them to apply the knowledge acquired during their training and to contribute to the improvement of agricultural activities and the living conditions of rural populations. “The diploma is not an end in itself, but a tool to seek and contribute to the country’s development,” the ministry emphasized in its message to the new engineers.

The three top graduates of the class were awarded a check for 10 million ariary by Inviso Group, a partner of the institution, to support them in their initial projects and professional activities. Beyond rewarding and supporting the graduates, Inviso Group also supports ESSA through various pedagogical activities and the installation of equipment within the institution.
