Homicide. The crime occurred on Tuesday evening in Marohoho, at the annex of a private university. Around 7:15 PM, two security guards clashed. One of them, identified as Tafita, was stabbed in the abdomen and succumbed to his injuries.
His colleague, a 50-year-old identified as the perpetrator of the fatal blow, fled the scene immediately after the incident. According to their manager, the fifty-year-old had been working for the security firm for nearly ten years, but only two years at the university annex. Tafita had joined the team three months ago and served as a backup to his assailant.
The supervisor stated that the two men had never shown signs of serious conflict, although the suspect was known for his difficult personality and lack of respect toward his superiors.
A vegetable vendor, who witnessed the scene, recounted hearing the gate slam before discovering Tafita lying on the ground. She claimed to have confronted the perpetrator, asking why he had attacked his colleague, but he did not respond. He simply grabbed his bag and left the scene. He remains at large.
