FOOTBALL – BKM PROJECT – New talents follow in the footsteps of Behaja Randriamalala

A springboard for an international career. The ‘Baolina Kitra Manatafita’ (BKM) project, initiated by Kintana Academy and Jet Kintana, is resuming three years after its first attempt in 2023. A series of youth scouting sessions across several regions of the island led to the selection of five talents by international recruitment agents. One of them, former Jet Kintana midfielder Behaja Randriamalala, on loan from Fosa Juniors FC, was able to fly out to sign with the Tunisian club, US Monastir. He has currently been called up for the third time to join the Barea national team for the matches against Nigeria and Tanzania, counting towards the first two matchdays of the 2027 AFCON qualifiers.

The BKM project will organize the final phase of the second edition of the ‘Youth Football Trophy International’ scouting tournament, dedicated to under-18s, from November 2 to 6 at the Barea Annex Stadium in Mahamasina. A team of FIFA-licensed recruitment agents, led by Wassim Gharmoul, will oversee the final selection. Tournaments between football schools will take place starting this weekend in six major cities across the country, including Toliara, Morondava, Fianarantsoa, Antsirabe, Mahajanga, and Antsiranana.

The two finalist teams from each city, along with the capital’s selection, will compete in the final phase. ‘The selected players could immediately join their new clubs in Europe or North Africa, or be loaned out by elite clubs in the country while waiting for their departure for an international career,’ emphasizes Jocelyn Ralambo, Secretary General of the BKM project.
