A hotel project with 80 to 120 rooms is being planned in the immediate vicinity of Ivato International Airport. Ravinala Airports, the concessionaire for the international airports of Ivato and Fascène Nosy Be, launched a call for expressions of interest (AMI) on Wednesday to select an investor capable of developing and operating this infrastructure.
The project is to be located on a plot of approximately 4,350 m² in the ‘Landside’ zone, near the Ivato international terminal. The program includes a three-to-four-star hotel establishment, as well as several spaces dedicated to travelers and professionals.
According to the AMI documents, the establishment is expected to have between 80 and 120 rooms. The project also includes a bar, a café-restaurant, seminar rooms, and a business center. The goal is to group these various activities on a single site, in direct proximity to the international terminal. The ‘Landside’ location allows the establishment to be accessible without passing through airport security and boarding checks.
The procedure launched by Ravinala Airports takes place in two stages. The first consists of pre-selecting candidates based on their expression of interest. The selected operators will then be able to participate in a call for projects and submit a detailed technical and financial offer.
The project is envisioned as a Build, Operate, Transfer (BOT) partnership. In this arrangement, the selected investor will be responsible for designing, financing, and building the infrastructure, and then operating it for a defined period before transferring it to Ravinala Airports at the end of the concession.
