The first successful candidates of the 2026 Baccalaureate session have been announced. The Itasy Baccalaureate Office released the names of the admitted candidates in the region at the end of last week.
According to a source from the University of Itasy, the average success rate stands at 55.66%.
The results are driven by an excellent performance in technical and technological education. The Tertiary Technology (TTER) series achieved a perfect score with a 100% success rate, closely followed by Agricultural Technician (88.9%), Construction Site Manager (81.1%), Livestock Technician (79.4%), and Commercial Agent (75%) programs. The Accounting Management specialty rounded out this sector with a 63.2% pass rate. The Organization-Society-Economy (OSE) series also performed well, reaching a 76% success rate. Regarding literary series, the results remain positive: the L series leads with 71.4%, followed by the A1 series at 62.3% and the A2 series at 53.5%.
Conversely, scientific series recorded more mixed performances, barely exceeding the average. While the C and D series recorded 64.7% and 54.4% pass rates respectively, the S series recorded the lowest score in the region with only 37.7% success.
Results for other regions are expected throughout the month of August. Deliberations for the Antananarivo province are scheduled for August 21, and for Fianarantsoa, on August 11.
