A buyer of second-hand materials and goods is the prime suspect in the double murder committed at a couple’s home in Amboaroy, Antehiroka. He is believed to have been the last person welcomed into the house before the incident.
Jean Yves Michel Rakotoarisoa, a 35-year-old merchant residing in Antanety Bemasoandro, Itaosy, is being actively sought as part of the investigation into the double murder. The gendarmerie issued a wanted notice the day before yesterday, including his photograph and identity details. Anyone with information leading to his location is invited to notify the nearest law enforcement agency or contact the Antehiroka brigade at 034 05 700 76, or the Talatamaty brigade at 034 05 700 77. “For now, this man remains the only suspect. The investigation is ongoing,” investigators stated.
According to information gathered and investigations by the gendarmerie, the man knew the owners, from whom he used to buy second-hand materials and items. He was reportedly welcomed into the house around noon on Saturday. Investigators believe the double murder was committed at that time.
The owners, an 86-year-old French national and his 65-year-old Malagasy wife, were killed with knife wounds. The suspect allegedly fled by climbing over the perimeter wall. He is being sought as part of the investigation into this double murder.
As a reminder, the victims succumbed to multiple stab wounds. This couple of entrepreneurs owned a travel agency.
