The celebrations for the 66th anniversary of independence began in the city of Antsirabe on June 25th with a fireworks display. The events continued on June 26th in front of the monument, featuring a grand parade by military units, students, associations, employees from various sectors, and regional representatives of Vakinankaratra. The ceremony was led by the Prefect.
