A 14-year-old boy is being sought by the gendarmerie after being implicated in a burglary case in Mamoladahy, in the commune of Imerintsiatosika. Residing in Tsarafaritra, Fetraniaina Zarasoa is suspected of having participated in this recent attempted burglary.
According to information gathered on-site, two individuals attempted to break into a house, but were spotted, and the boy managed to escape.
Burglaries are reportedly recurring in the neighborhood. “Burglaries are happening repeatedly in our area. A few months ago, several houses were already broken into nearby. Residents strongly suspect that a group of young people is behind these acts,” explained a local resident.
According to another source, other individuals suspected of belonging to a group of burglars have already been arrested in previous cases and are currently under thorough investigation.
“The gendarmerie is doing its job. This 14-year-old boy is wanted, and we already have some leads. One of his accomplices is already in our custody,” indicated a source close to the law enforcement agencies. “The authorities continue to call on parents to carefully monitor their children and their associations, as the involvement of minors in such criminal acts is detrimental to society,” the source added. The investigation is ongoing.
