A story that began over 20 years ago has found its place back on the artistic stage. At La Teinturerie in Ampasanimalo, ‘Lavatondro’ brings together Ony Hanjaka, alias Stam, Ralf Arivelo, and Jeremia, alias LazAéro Polyvalart, for an exhibition that goes beyond a simple juxtaposition of three worlds. Presented during a press conference on Friday, this artistic encounter revives a bond forged in the 2000s, when the ‘Lavatondro’ platform gathered young creators committed to individual expression and uniqueness.
For the three artists, this exhibition represents, above all, a reunion. Since the platform’s creation, their paths have evolved, their practices have diversified, and their journeys have taken different directions. However, the bond formed back then remains intact. For Jeremia, this reunion felt natural, requiring no forced effort.
‘Lavatondro’ bears witness to a period when young artists gathered around a shared creative dynamic. The years have since consolidated their respective artistic identities. Today, their reunion does not seek to erase these differences in favor of a common universe. On the contrary, the exhibition allows for the comparison of three distinct signatures, born from the same momentum and now nurtured by different experiences.
