Three Malagasy writers presented their works at the National Library in Anosy, where they shared stories inspired by their own lives to encourage readers to believe in their dreams and overcome challenges.
Transforming wounds into strength and personal experiences into a source of inspiration—this is the message carried by Lova Fanambinasoa, Marianne Razaf, and Viviane Rahariniaina, who presented their books to the public this Wednesday at the National Library in Anosy. Already published in France, their books invite reflection on self-transcendence, resilience, and the quest for meaning.
This meeting allowed the three authors to explain the reasons that led them to write. For Lova Fanambinasoa, it was essential that Malagasy people could also discover these works. “Foreigners have already read our books. It was important that our compatriots could also discover them. Each one conveys a different message, but they complement each other and can help one move forward in life,” she declared.
In Une petite fille rêveuse (A Dreamy Little Girl), Lova Fanambinasoa sincerely retraces her journey, mentioning both her successes and her vulnerabilities. According to her, the feedback from her readers shows that her book pushes them to question their lives and take action. “The most beautiful feedback is from people who finally decide to live the life they dreamed of. The book invites people to stop just surviving and to dare to realize their aspirations,” she emphasizes.
Author of Bâtir l’espoir (Building Hope), Viviane Rahariniaina is convinced that lived experience is the best source of encouragement. “Nothing is stronger than lived experience to inspire those around you. You should never underestimate your own journey, because it can also transform the lives of others,” she asserts. The reactions of her readers have deeply touched her. Many confide in her that they have gone through the same difficulties, finding in her testimony proof that they are not alone.
For her part, Marianne Razaf offers, in Entière et vivante (Whole and Alive), a reflection on the meaning of existence. For her, everyone has a mission to accomplish.
