EXAM – Baccalaureate subjects under strict control

As the 2026 Baccalaureate approaches, exam subjects are subject to strict security measures. From their development to their distribution, every step is rigorously monitored to ensure confidentiality and equality among candidates.

Before being distributed in exam halls, the subjects undergo several verification stages. Their development takes place in a highly secure environment to preserve the confidentiality of the tests. For each subject, every Regional Directorate of National Education (DREN) prepares three proposals. Specially designated teachers participate in the design, and to ensure confidentiality, they are placed in quarantine, cut off from the outside world.

“After packaging, the subjects are transported under high surveillance. The convoy is tracked by cameras to storage sites, such as military camps or prefectures, which are also under video surveillance,” stated a source from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

Angelo Raherinirina, Director General of Higher Education, explained that transport to exam centers begins this week, with remote centers prioritized and convoys under escort. Sealed envelopes will only be opened on the day of the exam. The Ministry also noted that a digital monitoring system is in place to track individuals selling fake exam subjects on social media.

The general Baccalaureate and the first part of the technological, technical, and professional Baccalaureate will take place from Monday, July 20 to Friday, July 24. The second part will be held from Monday, July 27 to Thursday, July 30.
