The Ebola disease epidemic in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) has resulted in more than 500 deaths since the outbreak was declared in May, according to the latest report released on Monday by the World Health Organization (WHO), based on data provided by Congolese health authorities. A total of 506 deaths and 1,561 confirmed cases have been recorded.
