The Commune of Alasora has adopted new measures to address traffic congestion on the By-pass and its access roads. Among the decisions is a ban on carts accessing these strategic routes.
Faced with increasing traffic difficulties, the Mayor of Alasora, Jimmy Randriantsoa, convened an emergency meeting this morning at the Amoronakona bus station. The goal was to seek sustainable solutions with various stakeholders to decongest the Alasora By-pass.
The meeting brought together representatives from the Ministry of Transport, the Land Transport Agency (ATT), law enforcement from Alasora and the Urban Commune of Antananarivo, as well as the bus station concessionaire and the Alasora municipal police.
In addition to the ban on carts, authorities have decided to continue cleaning and developing the roadsides. Merchants and residents located along the By-pass are also urged not to obstruct public roads. This measure reportedly improved traffic flow as early as today.
In the event of heavy congestion, bush taxis (taxis-brousse) will be systematically redirected to the RN 58B via the Ankadindratombo axis. Bus parking zones located along the By-pass and in South Ambohipo will also be reorganized to ensure they no longer hinder traffic fluidity.
