About forty pre-selected players, including four expatriates, will gather from October 10 to 14 to determine the four players who will compete in the World Championships in Thailand.
The Malagasy Boules Sports Federation (FSBM) released a list of about forty candidates, along with selection criteria for the men’s senior triplet and precision shooting world championships. The event will take place in Khon Kaen, Thailand, from November 20 to 25.
The four expatriates called up include three players from the Décines club—Yves Sedrick Rakotoarisoa, Jean François Daniel Rakotondrainibe (known as “Zigle”), and the new recruit Faratiana Rakotoniaina (known as “Tiana kely”)—as well as Vaulx-en-Velin pointer Christian Andriantseheno (known as “Racle”).
Selection criteria prioritize current world champions and vice-champions, as well as medalists from the Zone 4 African Championships. The pre-selection process also includes winners of national triplet, double, and individual championships, as well as top performers from the national team’s training camps. The final four-player squad will be announced following the mandatory training camp in Antananarivo, which includes two phases of selection tests from October 10 to 14.
