The Great Island will be represented by two teams at the Zone 7 Round 2 championship. This second stage of the zonal summit will take place from October 15 to 18 at Itsandra Mojini beach in Moroni, Comoros. The regional event will bring together the best teams from neighboring islands, including Comoros, Madagascar, Mauritius, Seychelles, and Reunion Island.
The Malagasy men’s team will consist of Robsell Thierry Antoine and Jerry Arnaud Razakandrainy. The women’s pair will feature Holiarisoa Andriamihasoa Ravonintseheno and Yannick Joëlle Harinirina Andrianina.
Andry, partnered with Momi Andreas Ramanitsy, secured a bronze medal during the previous edition of the Zone 7 Round 2 in early November 2025.
Madagascar was represented by four teams during the last zonal qualifying competition for the continental stage, held in early July at Roche Caïman, Seychelles. The Malagasy representatives finished third in both the men’s and women’s categories, narrowly missing qualification.
