After securing second place in The Voice Afrique Francophone 2026, Val is eager to accelerate his musical projects and create opportunities for young Malagasy talents.
Val is already looking beyond The Voice. Fresh from his international adventure, the young Malagasy artist is focusing on creation and talent mentorship. His primary goal is to release his own songs, particularly in Malagasy and foreign languages. A debut track about hope has already been recorded and will be refined before its official release. He aims to produce more compositions to build a musical identity that reflects his personality.
Val’s vision extends beyond his own career. He plans to organize singing competitions across Madagascar to give young talents, who often lack access to stages, a chance to showcase their potential. Eventually, he hopes to establish his own production house to support these artists and help them develop their skills to compete on the international stage.
This ambition was central to his meeting with the Minister of Culture and Communication, Gascar Fenosoa, who received him yesterday following his performance in the competition. The ministry praised his commitment to promoting Malagasy culture and identity internationally.
Despite his satisfaction, Val acknowledges areas for improvement, noting that he was sometimes too focused on staging at the expense of vocal management. He remains proud of his performances, including his rendition of ‘Die With a Smile’, and is grateful for the support from his choreographers and designers. With 25.81% of the votes, Val finished second behind Benin’s Saara Houansou, marking a significant milestone in his career and a proud moment for Madagascar.
