IT University: Students Guided Toward Entrepreneurship

Students are being encouraged to embrace entrepreneurship. At the IT University in Andoharanofotsy, known for its robust computer science curriculum, a new specialization has been added to its academic offerings. “These students, who are project initiators, are being trained to create and manage businesses,” stated Olivier Robinson, Rector of IT University, during the inauguration ceremony of the Digital Leadership and Administration program, which marks the beginning of the institution’s 15th-anniversary celebrations.

A partnership with the Ministry of Industry has been signed to support students in their entrepreneurial journey. “Graduates of this program will manage and lead companies. This approach is perfectly aligned with the economic and industrial reality of Madagascar,” the source added.

The project begins with several targeted sectors: agriculture and livestock farming first, followed by mineral resource exploitation, wealth management, and finally, export and international trade.

Furthermore, students will receive financial support through the university’s partnerships with banks. “There are support offers from them for the best projects, ensuring that students also have the funding needed to launch their activities,” the Rector informed.
