Did you know that it is now possible to open a bank account without visiting a branch? This remote account opening feature is now available through the BNI Madagascar mobile application. This initiative aims to address the geographical and time constraints faced by a portion of the Malagasy population regarding access to financial services.
In a context where banking is identified as a vector for economic development, the physical distance from branches and constraints related to opening hours remain obstacles for many users. With this new service, BNI Madagascar offers a fully digital customer journey, accessible from a smartphone at any time of the day.
This system allows users to finalize the opening of a bank account without traveling to a branch or dealing with paper formalities. The process, designed to be accessible to both digital-savvy individuals and new users, incorporates current banking security standards to ensure the confidentiality of personal data.
According to the bank’s management, the goal is to adapt banking services to contemporary lifestyles, particularly for people living in areas far from urban centers or whose professional schedules limit travel. “We are reaching out to our customers, whether they live far from our branches or prefer to manage their affairs outside of traditional hours,” explains Patrice Mazzei, CEO of BNI Madagascar.
To encourage the adoption of this solution, the bank has accompanied this launch with a welcome offer, consisting of one year of free banking pack fees for any new account opened via the application. This measure is presented as a lever to facilitate access to financial management tools, such as savings or income security.
