Professional photographer Andoniaina Tahiry Herizo Koloina Andrianomanana, known as Chouppiii, is now developing a second artistic language under the pen name Louaynah through writing and independent publishing. Her first works under this identity were released starting July 12. “I haven’t abandoned photography to become an author. Writing has become a second language,” she explains.
As an independent author-publisher, she publishes and distributes her works primarily via Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP), which she views as a publishing platform rather than a traditional publishing house. Her creations span various genres and audiences, including series such as “Vani’ala L’Âme de la Nature,” “Myraina,” “Tsinjo,” and “Soalandy,” as well as collections dedicated to Madagascar like “Les Contes de Madagascar” (Tales of Madagascar), “Les Gardiens de la Grande Île” (Guardians of the Great Island), and “Les Explorateurs de la Grande Île” (Explorers of the Great Island).
Family heritage also plays a significant role in her work, with journals dedicated to parental history, birth, and a child’s early years. Madagascar serves as a common thread throughout many of her projects, representing a territory of stories, memory, nature, characters, and transmission.
In her creative process, she utilizes artificial intelligence as a supportive tool to brainstorm ideas, develop concepts, structure projects, and perform revisions. She also integrates AI into certain visual creation stages and has organized various AI assistants for writing, editing, game development, UX/UI, web development, and coordination within her environment, dubbed “Louaynah Industries.”
Through this dual approach, Chouppiii pursues a single goal: to tell stories differently by creating a dialogue between images and words.
