A little more patience is required for the 13,600 candidates of the Brevet d’études du premier cycle (BEPC) in the Atsimondrano school district. They must wait a few more days to learn their fate in this official exam. Grading of the papers concluded on Monday, and the digital transcription of grades is set to begin this Wednesday. According to the head of the Cisco, this process should take two days. “The results will then be transmitted to the central Ministry on Friday. Their publication is therefore expected on Friday or Saturday,” he specified.
For Antananarivo City, the latest information gathered on Tuesday evening indicates that grade transcription is still underway. However, the publication of results should not exceed this week. Generally, results are announced three to four days after this stage is completed. As for Antananarivo Avaradrano, the results were released on Wednesday morning with a success rate of 71.50%.
While awaiting the results for Antananarivo City and Antananarivo Atsimondrano, the highest success rate in the Analamanga region is reported in Manjakandriana, which recorded a 75.48% success rate. This is followed by Antananarivo Avaradrano (71.50%), Anjozorobe (71.47%), Andramasina (68.97%), Ankazobe (63.76%), and Ambohidratrimo (61.88%).
According to the Ministry of National Education, approximately 40% of school districts (Ciscos) have published their BEPC results. Based on the initial results already released, the success rate is generally on the rise. Last year, the national success rate stood at 58.95%, and officials hope it will be higher this year. They attribute this progress to the ministry’s efforts in promoting children’s schooling and the development of school canteens, which are considered levers for improving exam performance.
