ELECTIONS – Anne Raymonde Appointed to the Permanent Bureau of the Independent National Electoral Commission on Behalf of the Presidency

The Independent National Electoral Commission (Ceni) of Madagascar has welcomed a new member to its permanent bureau. Anne Raymonde, a magistrate, has been officially appointed by decree to represent the Presidency within the body responsible for organizing and supervising elections.

With this appointment, the Ceni’s permanent bureau now consists of eight members. This designation completes the representation of institutions and organizations authorized to sit on this strategic body of the Malagasy electoral process.

Following the resignation of the eight members of the former team in March, a completely new team now comprises the permanent bureau of the Ceni. To date, all entities called upon to designate a representative now have a member in the Ceni’s permanent bureau, with the exception of the Senate, whose members’ mandates have expired.
