Beyond being a sports competition, the ASIEF (Association Sportive Interministérielle pour l’Entretien des Fonctionnaires) is primarily designed to strengthen the solidarity of civil servants. According to Mrs. Randriamanantena Lova Mirantsoa, the regional president of ASIEF Vakinankaratra, the goal is to promote sports and unite civil servants. Seven disciplines will be contested, and the most deserving teams will represent the region.
