The Dih’Art dance school and club, which is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year as well as the 30-year career of its founder, Rijamanitra Rakotoarisoa, will mark these years dedicated to the development of the discipline with a unique event: a grand show titled “Voyage dans le temps” (Journey Through Time).
The show will take place from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM on August 2 at the CCI in Ivato. The event will retrace the thirty years of passion and experience of the current president of the Malagasy Federation of Sports Dance, Rijamanitra Rakotoarisoa.
“The program will feature a show retracing the history of rock’n’roll to kizomba, passing through ballroom dances like the waltz, bachata, and all Latin dances,” says the national technical director, France Roddy Tsialiva.
Rija, known for his stylish rock’n’roll, will also present innovative Malagasy heritage pieces with the goal of highlighting the value of traditional dances. “We will help you discover revisited versions of Tsapiky and Mangaliba.”
Dih’Art also invites the audience to participate in a free dance session. Since its creation, the Dih’Art dance school has been dedicated to the education of children aged 4 to 15 through dance, singing, theater, and modeling, under the program named “Rising Stars.”
