The driver of the taxi-be (public minibus) involved in the accident that killed five people at the exit of the Ambohidahy tunnel last week has been brought before the prosecutor and remanded in custody at Antanimora prison.
The case is scheduled for trial on October 13. In cases of fatal traffic accidents, drivers are typically prosecuted for involuntary manslaughter, a crime punishable by three months to several years of imprisonment.
