ACPE Madagascar brought together executives and managers to discuss Lean Management, aiming to improve corporate organization, boost productivity, and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
Malagasy companies are being urged to refine their organizational structures to increase productivity and support growth. With this in mind, the consulting firm ACPE Madagascar held the second edition of its Lean Management seminar yesterday at the Radisson Blu in Ambodivona, Antananarivo. Under the theme ‘At the heart of operational excellence: from strategy to action,’ the event gathered leaders and managers from various sectors to explore ways to enhance organizational performance.
According to Hary Lanto Rasolofoniaina, Director of Operations at ACPE Madagascar, the progress seen in companies adopting these methods demonstrates their value. This second edition aims to mobilize more economic actors and encourage the integration of operational excellence into their daily practices.
Improving productivity is not limited to large companies with significant resources. Small structures also face organizational challenges, time wastage, and coordination issues that can hinder their development. The goal is to adapt methods to the specific needs and resources of each organization to help it progress.
‘The challenge is not to impose a method, but to gradually build a culture of continuous improvement,’ emphasized Alp Bora, Vice President of Operations at ACPE. This approach relies on clarifying priorities, improving processes, and involving employees in solving daily problems.
The seminar program included five conferences and six practical workshops covering strategy deployment, change management, maintenance management, and value stream mapping. Representatives from QMM Rio Tinto, Axian, AFG Bank Group, Intelcia, ACEP, SNIM, Okalou, FAPBM, and Sahaza Group shared their experiences.
Operational excellence goes beyond financial gains. Better organization can reduce delays, limit errors, and improve service quality. For customers, this means more reliable services and better adherence to deadlines. For employees, clearer responsibilities and smoother information flow facilitate daily work.
However, these changes require commitment from management, supervisors, and teams. Employee participation is essential, as their field knowledge helps identify difficulties and propose adapted solutions. Through this second edition, ACPE Madagascar intends to encourage companies of all sizes to commit to a continuous improvement process, translating organizational efforts into concrete results for the benefit of businesses, employees, and clients.
