CINEMA AND THEATER – Five artistic disciplines at the heart of training in Anosy

ISSM, ANAC, and Creare Training Center are offering three days of free training in cinema and performing arts.

Cinema and performing arts will be in the spotlight from November 10 to 12, 2026, in Antananarivo. Through an initiative dedicated to strengthening artistic skills, the ISSM and the National Academy of Arts and Culture (ANAC), in partnership with Creare Training Center, are organizing three days of free training at the Anosy library, in the Dox room. Five disciplines will be explored: screenwriting, acting, clowning, mime, and theater.

Registration will take place from November 2 to 5. Participants will be able to discover different approaches to these practices and deepen their knowledge with two instructors, Jolene du Plessis and Cornelis Van Heyningen. The sessions will be held from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. over the three days.

Open to registered actors, students, beginners, professionals, and anyone interested in these disciplines, these training sessions aim to expand access to artistic learning. The organizers particularly wish to consolidate the technical and creative skills of the participants while fostering the discovery and emergence of new talent in the Malagasy cultural landscape.
