Navigating through Analakely has become a daunting challenge, particularly between the Arcade and the ‘Great Wall of China’ (Muraille de Chine) sectors.
As part of the PIAA2 project, the municipal police are strengthening traffic regulation. Vehicles parked on traffic lanes are being moved, while officers guide road users and manage taxi-be (public minibus) stops.
Obstructive parking complicates passage in this highly frequented area of the capital. Municipal police officers are intervening to clear the lanes and remind drivers of the rules to be followed. They are also ensuring the organization of public transport stops to limit congestion.
These interventions aim to better organize traffic and facilitate movement in this part of Analakely. Road users are urged to respect the officers’ instructions and avoid stopping in ways that hinder traffic flow.
The Urban Commune of Antananarivo (CUA) indicates that traffic remains generally fluid in the affected area. However, the regulation of parking and public transport stops remains essential in this sector where motorists, taxi-be, and pedestrians cross paths daily.
