Originating in Munich, Germany, Oktoberfest is a popular festival traditionally associated with beer, conviviality, and festive gatherings. In Madagascar, the 2026 edition, supported by Star through its brands THB, Gold, Queens, Beaufort, and Fresh, adopts this spirit while utilizing a traveling format. From September 15 to November 15, the festivities are being deployed across several regions of the country, featuring cultural activities, musical events, and various local initiatives.
The Star Tour, another highlight of this edition, is scheduled for October 24 and 25 in Toamasina. A ‘Camion Tour’ (Truck Tour) will also travel along the East Coast with stops planned in Ilaka Est, Vatomandry, Mahanoro, Fénérive Est, Foulpointe, and Mahambo. Other activities are also planned at points of sale, supermarkets, gas stations, and establishments in the hospitality and restaurant sector.
Through this deployment, Oktoberfest 2026 aims to bring the festivities closer to the public while combining brewing culture with Malagasy music and artistic creation. In Toamasina, October 12 and 13 will be a particularly lively event with the presence of several prominent figures from the Malagasy music scene.
