As the 2026 Baccalaureate approaches, the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research (MESUPRES) is strengthening the security measures for exam subjects. This policy applies from the development phase to the distribution process to prevent leaks and ensure the smooth conduct of the exams.
This year, the development of subjects relies on a multiple-proposal system. For each subject, three proposals are submitted by each Regional Directorate of National Education (DREN). Angelo Raherinirina, Director General of Higher Education and Scientific Research, stated during a convention signing in Anosy that with 23 regions in Madagascar, 69 subject proposals are prepared for subjects like mathematics, from which the final versions are selected.
The subjects are prepared by specially mobilized teachers and transported to exam centers under strict procedures and police escort, with priority given to remote areas. To ensure equity, the selected subjects are identical nationwide, and the designers remain in quarantine to maintain confidentiality.
Regarding digital security, MESUPRES has signed a convention with the Ministry of Public Security to combat the spread of fake exam subjects on social media. Cybercrime units are actively monitoring online platforms to identify and prosecute individuals attempting to scam candidates. Authorities urge citizens to report any suspicious activity to ensure the integrity of the examination process.
