Last Friday, around midday, in the countryside of Ambatolampy, a tricycle, commonly known as a bajaj, veered off the road and fell into a ravine. The vehicle rolled over several times, leaving the driver injured and causing significant damage to the bajaj. The owner was called to retrieve it.
The bajaj was traveling alone on a dirt track connecting Ambatolampy to Andriantsivalana when it went off the road and tumbled into the ravine. Passersby discovered the accident and rushed to assist the injured driver before alerting emergency services.
The driver sustained facial injuries, and the vehicle was 80% damaged. Law enforcement arrived at the scene to conduct the usual investigation. According to the gendarmerie, the bajaj was traveling from Andriantsivalana toward Ambatolampy when it ended up in the ravine due to the driver’s imprudence.
