Are you curious about how raw materials become finished products, how to optimize production, or how chemistry is applied on an industrial scale? The Chemical and Industrial Process Engineering (GPCI) program might be the path for you. A fair dedicated to this field is being organized this Wednesday, September 16, at the Barea Mahamasina Stadium by the Association of Chemical Engineering Students of the Higher Polytechnic School of Antananarivo (ESPA).
Chemical and Industrial Process Engineering focuses on the design, operation, and optimization of processes that transform raw materials into finished products at an industrial scale. It utilizes chemistry, physics, mathematics, and engineering to address production, quality, safety, and efficiency challenges. The event, open to the public for free from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., is primarily aimed at students and new high school graduates seeking guidance. Visitors will have the opportunity to explore academic projects carried out by students, with stands showcasing their work and allowing for direct interaction with students and industry professionals.
The goal is to go beyond theoretical presentations. For young people questioning their future, the fair offers a chance to see what GPCI students learn and achieve in practice, as well as to ask questions about their academic paths and career prospects. The program includes a morning dedicated to presenting academic projects, while the afternoon will feature student pitches before the public and professionals.
For recent high school graduates still deciding on their major, the event is also an opportunity to learn more about ESPA and the GPCI program, including information regarding the entrance exam for the Vontovorona campus.
The GPCI Fair is part of the GPCI Week, held from September 14 to 18, 2026, to mark the 30th anniversary of the Solidarity of Chemical Engineering Students of Madagascar (SEIGCM). This week brings together students, alumni, professionals, and partners for conferences, discussions, and educational activities.
