With “Parachute,” his second short film, the Malagasy director offers a poetic film that dives into the heart of an inner struggle that everyone may experience.
An invisible battle, a fight against oneself, emotions difficult to translate into words. It is around this inner experience that “Parachute,” the second short film by Malagasy director and producer Anthony Relisa, is articulated. Lasting about forty minutes, the film presents itself as a poetic work, full of meaning and intentionally non-obvious, in which the character and personality of its creator shine through.
A private screening took place this Thursday at the Cité des Cultures, in the presence of an invited audience, to officially present the film. The session continued with a moment of sharing regarding the viewers’ feelings and their perception of this work, which invites personal reflection.
After “Dear Lia,” Anthony Relisa thus signs a new production born from nearly a year of preparation. From writing to costumes, including the filming process, each step was meticulously worked on to bring this project to life. Lôfo.madagasikara will also accompany the film’s journey by retracing the different stages of its adventure.
Based in Antananarivo, Anthony Relisa has been building his career in audiovisuals since 2021 with an emotional and intuitive approach. As a director and producer, he has worked in documentaries, event filming, and institutional content. In 2025, he founded Prelud Studio and also collaborates with several Malagasy artists, notably Bolo, Raboussa, and Poety Rebely, as well as with companies and institutions such as Société Générale, the Korean Embassy, Jovena, Becom, and Feedback Madagascar.
