The Malagasy team, the defending champion, will attempt to defend its title and its status as favorite at the U18 Mixed Youth World Championships, which will be held over four days in the city of Santa Susanna, near Barcelona, Spain. Twenty-one nations will be represented, including fourteen from Europe, two from Asia, two from America, two from Africa—namely Madagascar and Tunisia—and one from Oceania. The Great Island will be represented by four players: two boys, Harison Clarito Andriambelonony from C2BA and Avotiana Eliot Raberanto from PAC, as well as the twins from MKT Vakinankaratra, Nameno and Nomena Ramamonjisoa.

The round of 16 for both triples and doubles will take place on Saturday morning starting at 10:00 AM. The quarterfinals for triples are scheduled for 5:00 PM and for doubles around 6:30 PM. The semifinals and the final of the precision shooting competition will conclude the third day, Saturday, around 8:30 PM.
The final day, Sunday, will be dedicated to the semifinals of the triples starting at 10:00 AM and the doubles around 12:00 PM. The doubles final is scheduled for 5:00 PM and the triples final at 6:30 PM.
Madagascar is the defending champion following the previous edition held in October 2025 in Isla Cristina, Spain. The Malagasy team totaled 62 points, ahead of Italy with 52 points and Thailand with 36. The team consisted of Nathanaël and Clarito for the boys, and Sarobidy and Mitia for the girls. They won the gold medal in mixed doubles and the silver medal in mixed triples. These national representatives were selected following a training camp and evaluation test held in Antsirabe from June 10 to 12.
