Invited by Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi, Colonel Michaël Randrianirina, President of the Refoundation, landed in Cairo yesterday around 6:30 PM. Departing from Ivato in the morning with his wife and a delegation, the Head of State has begun a multi-day visit to Egypt.
The stated goal is to strengthen cooperation between the two nations. “Only cooperation between African countries will move Africa forward,” he declared before leaving Antananarivo. Concretely, high-level talks and the signing of bilateral agreements are on the agenda.
The first step, yesterday evening, was a meeting with the Malagasy diaspora. At the El-Qubba Presidential Palace, the Head of State listened, as is his custom during his travels, to the proposals and grievances of the nationals living there.
