Christine Razanamahasoa is moving to Paris. The Council of Ministers has appointed the former Minister of Foreign Affairs as the Permanent Representative of Madagascar to UNESCO. She succeeds Yvette Sylla, also a former Minister of Foreign Affairs, who held the position twice between 2019 and 2025.
Following her departure from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where she was appointed in October 2025, Christine Razanamahasoa had already been named Personal Representative of the President of the Republic for the Refoundation to the International Organization of La Francophonie (OIF) in May 2026. She has previously held other high-ranking positions, including President of the National Assembly and Minister of Justice.
