The world of motor sports is mourning another loss. Alphonse Razafindraibe, known as “Fossy,” a former co-driver for several drivers from the ASACM club, passed away yesterday, just two weeks after the sudden death of veteran pilot and ASACM member Lapatiana Randriamahefa, known by her pseudonym Mme Pattie.
Fossy had accompanied drivers such as Bedezy, Karl, Legah, Bera “Raketaka,” and Guiguibone. As the former owner of the Fossy garage in Soavinandriana, he was best known as a mechanic specializing in the French brand Peugeot and, above all, as a rally car preparer. He prepared the Peugeot 205 Group M9 for Guillaume Andrianjafy, also known as Guiguibone, for his very first rally before becoming his co-driver. Guiguibone subsequently drove a Peugeot 205 Kit Car M10 prepared by Fossy, followed by a Subaru GC8. Known for his discipline and rigor, Fossy was also a football referee.
